he Government of Kyrgyzstan approved a draft agreement between the Ministry of Finance of Kyrgyzstan and the Ministry of Finance of Russia on allocation of financial aid from Russia to Kyrgyzstan with the possibility of non-essential amendments and additions.
The corresponding decree was signed by Prime Minister Joomart Otorbayev on November 24, 2014.
In order to grant financial assistance to Kyrgyzstan, the Russian side funds the public budget of Kyrgyzstan until November 30, 2014 in the amount of $30 million.
In accordance with the agreement, the provided assistance will be used internally to cover the budget gap, and aims to finance current expenditures approved in the 2014 public budget until December 31, 2014:
- $10 million for healthcare sector;
- $10 million for social welfare and social security;
- $5 million for education sector;
- $5 million for housing and communal services.
