The retirement age may be changed for citizens living in high mountain regions of Kyrgyzstan in 2016, Social Fund Chairman Muhametkalyi Abulgaziev said.
Some important bills will be considered in 2016, he said.
“I visited Naryn yesterday, where I was asked about retirement age for citizens living in high mountain parts of the country. I said that at present people living in high mountain regions retire at the age of 45 years. Probably, the retirement age will be raised for 3 years. All treated that with understanding,” he said.
The general retirement age for men is 63 and for women is 58 years. These ages won't be changed in 2016, he added.
