Bishkek, April 7 / Kabar /. The April revolution of 2010 saved the country from economic collapse and spiritual impoverishment. President of Kyrgyzstan Almazbek Atambayev said today at a ceremony dedicated in memory of the heroes of the April 2010 revolution.
According to him, the April revolution paved the way for the revival of Kyrgyzstan. "I would also like to briefly respond to those who blacks the country's achievements over the past five years. Everything is relative. After 7 April 2010, a wave of revolutions swept the world, caused by theft and cruelty of authoritarian regimes. It all started with the Arab Spring, ended with Maidan. What are the results? The revolution in some countries has led to civil war and split the country. This is true of Libya, Syria. The same process, unfortunately, is also observed in Yemen. Ongoing murders of opposition leaders and bloody attacks in Tunisia. In Egypt, after bloody clashes the military have again returned to power. In the fraternal Ukraine we see a loss of territorial integrity and the thousands killed in the armed conflict in the south-east of the country. And, unfortunately, in all these countries, we see a devastated economy, hyperinflation and mass impoverishment of people," said the President.
The event was also attended by: ex-president Roza Otunbayeva, Prime Minister Djoomart Otorbaev, Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh Asylbek Jeenbekov, ministers and others.
