After Kyrgyzstan's entry into the Customs Union flow of smuggled goods from Uzbekistan and Tajikistan will be reduced. Economy Minister of the KR Temir Sariev said today in Osh during a meeting with businessmen of Osh oblast.
According to him, after the accession of Kyrgyzstan to the Customs Union borders will be strengthened, which is a requirement of the CU participating countries. Each checkpoint will be equipped with video camera for tracking, there will be certification lab that prevents the importation of contraband and substandard goods into our country. At the moment, Kyrgyzstan has no means to do so. But we are planning to install on the borders all the necessary equipment after a couple of years, said the Minister.
